Eileen Garczynski, senior vice president and partner, Ames & Gough will co-present a CLE seminar for the Virginia Bar Association with Lori D. Thompson, member, Spilman, Thomas & Battle on “Succession Planning for Your Law Practice,” Thursday, March 26 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The seminar which provides 1.5 hours of MCLE credits, will be held at the Virginia Bar Association, 105 Whitewood Road, Charlottesville. The presenters will discuss best practices in succession planning and ways to prevent the loss of law firm intelligence. Additionally, participants will learn how to evaluate potential successors and discover why mentoring and training are vital parts of succession planning. The program will also examine various insurance options crucial to long-term succession planning. The seminar, “Cyber Security and Confidentiality for the Law Firm,” will take place Friday, July 22, from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA.
